RoboCup

RoboCup (originally call Robot World Cup Initiative) is an international initiative of investigation and education. In order to promote the investigation in robotics and the artificial intelligence (IA), a standard problem is provided where an ample range of technologies can be integrated and be examined, as well as to be used in educative projects.
The creation of the RoboCup equipment in The Robotics Institute of Yucatan, generates the possibility of investigating and of studying new technologies in competitive markets, in other schools and universities; to relate collaboration and work groups in equipment, either between the own departments of the Institute, or altogether with other institutions.

The RoboCup initiative needs Mechanical Engineering, where the creation of the structure of the robot is fundamental, the mathematical analysis of dynamic modeling, as well as of the different mechanical components and parts that the robot requires. It needs Engineering in Systems for the development in software of the simulation surroundings, the controllers agent and multiagent, the different techniques from attack and defense for a soccer match. It needs Electronic Engineering for the stages of wire and wireless communication, the stage of power and the stage of control.

The RoboCup project invites to drive new technologies, to optimize the already existing technologies and to take advantage of the diversity resources. It is an attractive project in scientific innovation since year with year goes on a par with the advances of science.
